I acknowledge with great pleasure and pride that Shri Ravi Shankar Mishra is a budding flutist of the present younger generation. He is not only a flutist of great calibre but also a good human being. What I appreciate most about him is that, he has not been swayed away by the modern popular scene of the music but has kept rooted to the most valuable tradition of our music and Gharana. Ravi Shankar Mishra is a very good flute maker; and that is his passion. With his innovative mind, he has done some structural changes, and is making good flutes. He is open to the suggestions. His new design is very convenient to handle and greatly facilitates the All Saptak Vistar of the ragas.

 He is a good and remarkable teacher too and really enjoys teaching. He has groomed many a students who perform at professional level.
 With his dedication and quest for acquiring what is pure in music, I am sure he will make it big on the music horizon.
