Bansuri Flute Classes

Ravi Shankar Mishra has been imparting the art of flute playing for over a decade now. He has students from all over the world receiving serious training from him.

Ravi started teaching flute at a very young age. Dedicated students are learning bansuri from him in the traditional Guru - Shishya Parampara style. He is a generous teacher who believes that knowledge multiplies in sharing and hence is passing on the rich legacy of Maihar Gharana to his enthusiastic disciples.

He belongs to the lineage of the legendary flautist Pt. Pannalal Ghosh and emphasises on the tradition, purity and depth in his teaching. The fingering style and the use of the seventh hole which is the hallmark of his gharana is being taught by him promoting the original style of bansuri playing.

Apart from his Indian students, Ravi has been teaching western students the art of playing bansuri for many years now.
